Roland Moulet in Paris

Roland Mouret  Shop in London..

Finally the sun is shining bright on the east coast.  A LONG awaited weather change. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

Paris fashion week is in full swing and today we see Roland Mouret  collection for spring 2012. A lovely taste of simplicity with form hugging pencil shirts and tie at the waist chic dresses. Bright color mixed with pale beige, cut out patterns and  beautiful soft suits.  The collection is a great way to end the week long runways!    Ciao!

The Library

Happy Thursday!  Today I decided to post about books.  Well actually  where to store books and the  creative solutions for  our own personal libraries!  For many of us  in our quiet times we just want to curl up with a good book and close ourselves off from the rest of the world.. Yes, some of these libraries are somewhat over the top, but yet the photos give us ideas whether on a small or grand scale. Here's a look at the  possibilities!   Ciao Bella's

Dries Van Noten Paris Runway

Last Spring I visited Dries Van Noten Shop in Paris! I was fascinated by his designs and attention to details. He knows how to design for women and the accessories just seem to be the icing on the cake. His Paris Spring Collection for 2012 definitely continues the spirit of this talented designer.  creations.  Don't you just love the wrap  heels and wedges..  HERE IS DRIES WEB SITE
Dries Van Noten (born 1958) is a Belgian fashion designer and an eponymous fashion brand. In 2005, the New York Times described him "one of fashion's most cerebral designers". His style is said to be "eccentric", and fell out of favor during the long period of minimalistic fashion in the early 1990s, only to make a come back towards the mid 2000s, culminating with Van Noten's winning of the International Award of the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2008. On the same year, he dressed actress Cate Blanchett for the Academy Awards.

Van Noten was born into a family of garment makers and traders: his father owned a menswear shop and his grandfather was a tailor. He graduated from the Antwerp Academy in 1980, and began his career in 1986, when he presented his first menswear collection in London as part of the The Antwerp Six collective. That led to a small order from Barneys New York, a store that still stocks his merchandise regularly.[2] Van Noten currently creates four collections a year (men's and women's, both for summer and winter)
