The Flower Shop in Paris

Thursday,  February 28th!    Feeling Spring and found this article in Vogue, wanted to share! My good friend owns a lovely flower shop called Delford!  I thought of her and wanted to bring this story of  designer Rambert Rigaud from Paris who turned his dream into a reality!  Thank You Vogue for today's post

“I’ve always wanted to be a florist,” says Rambert Rigaud, a former studio director in the ateliers of Yves Saint Laurent and Dior Haute Couture. Having grown up in Versailles, Rigaud played in the palace garden as a child. But when he turned 40 recently, he says, “I thought, It’s now or never.”

Thankfully, he opted for the former. Rambert Rigaud Fleuriste en Herbe, his new flower-and-home shop on a charming Saint-Germain corner in Paris, embodies a kind of eclectic, regal opulence. Rigaud has expertly tracked down not just exquisite orchids and winter roses but ornate glass vases by Guaxs, needlepoint sofas from the Belgian husband-and-wife team Du Long et du LĂ©, and a selection of vintage furniture culled from local markets.
It’s a carefully curated arrangement intended to feel as welcoming as it is decadent. “Instead of opening just another flower store, I thought about what I would like as a customer,” says Rigaud, who often entertains at the apartment he shares with partner Peter Copping, creative director of Nina Ricci. “Why not mix in antiques and have some music on in the background, so it’s more like a home?”

Max Mara 2013

Hello! On this  Milan runway and one of my favorites is Max Mara! The collection oozes  Italy's best selection  of fabrics, leathers and cashmere. Not only has the label managed to perfect a camel so luxurious and universally flattering that Pantone should name a shade after it, but also the versatile elegance their work evokes means their coats really can take women through every permutation of their day.  So soft looking I would wear for lounging.                      Enjoy your Day!

Emilio Pucci Fall 2013 -Video

Good Day Pretty People!  Peter Dundas,  Designer for the house Emilio Pucci showed a modern day jet set classy girl collection , there were plenty of shorts: black leather, zebra-print ponyskin, another pair embroidered all over in jet beads. If the lack of pants was a disappointment to fans of his tailoring, he made up for it with fuzzy mohair jackets in ice-cream pastels accented with baroque black and gold buttons. The Pucci signature swirl  was seen only in an accessory. I  love the  thigh high suede boots and his use of color in the  jackets.  Beautiful Collection. Check out the video.
By the way Happy Oscar day !

                         Enjoy the fresh air!

Prada for 2013

Morning Friday Friends!  We made it to the weekend  and  time to kick back. Don't forget the Oscars this Sunday and  the  red carpet fashion dresses. Getting ready to go to work and wondering if   it will be black skirt or pink corduroys.   Isn't spring on the horizon,  tired of dark colors and searching for a hint of the seasonal change? Well here comes Prada!

Yesterday Prada showed there collection in Milan.  Sounds so glamorous right?   Milan, fashion show, front row, all those sexy Italians, and the great food.  The pop of color in each outfit reminded me of when I was in elementary school and my mom would   add a pretty little coat or skirt. The hints of colors always  made me happy just as this collection does.

Band of Outsiders Play on Hats 2013

Is that a hat on your head or a sweater to keep you warm.  Leave  it to fashion designers  to push the envelope. An ode to a Billy Holiday collection.   The Band of Outsiders creative director Scott Sternberg felt the music and played it out on the runway.   The  label is known for a very current, urban cool-girl image. The accessories played a major part. Pairing the clothes with either tasseled loafers or ankle boots from Manolo Blahnik, and large, knitted baseball-cap “turbans”—a nod to Holiday’s headpiece of choice—Sternberg gave every look the touch of tomboy that women want from him.
 And that's a rap
