Console Castiglioni Designer for Marni

“I created a small repertoire of all that represents the Marni style, for men and for women, with great attention to quality and details,” said Castiglioni. “It’s beautiful to be able to speak to a larger public, and in particular to the new generations: As a designer, it gives me new energy.”

H and M is teaming up for a collaboration with Italian design house Marni, following a high-profile partnership with Versace.
A collection of women's and men's clothing will be produced, in addition to a line of accessories, Women's Wear Daily reports. Marni founder and creative director Console Castiglioni will design the pieces, which are set to go on sale March 28, 2012 in approximately 260 H&M stores worldwide and on the Internet.
The women's collection will feature pieces inspired by African prints and colorblocking, and will include dresses, cropped trousers and knits. Meanwhile, the men's collection will include jackets and shirts with contrast in details. Accessories will include shoes, jewelry and handbags.
“Marni has such a modern touch with everything they do, mixing prints and accessories in a playful but chic way,” said Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H and M.
H and M's team-up with Marni marks the company's latest partnership. The retail chain has worked with Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, Sonia Rykiel, Comme des Garcons and Jimmy Choo, just to name a few.
