Thakoon Flirty Fashion

Have you heard of Thakoon Panichgui?  A brilliant designer who's designs show a  flirty  girly sex appeal. (End of blog is short Bio)  This is his pre fall collection showing a fun Private Benjamin casual style. This is his  secondary collection, Thakoon Panichgul sent his girl into the trenches. "A flirty, cheeky military".

For pre-fall, the designer put his usual little dresses—the best of them, a sleeveless silk shirtdress in pink and red camo with a drawstring waist—and swingy coats on full display. Uniform details like oversize cargo pockets and sparrow tails brought feminine pieces like A-line skirts and cropped jackets into the army world. As with his main collection, Thakoon played with volume, though here he really let the billows fly.
Thank You Thakoon!

Enjoy you Saturday and hope it is your day off!  Will it be hair, nails, shopping, cleaning, food market,  going to the city, watching the cooking chanel or organizing  tasks for the new year?  What ever it may be, I hope you spend this day with enjoyment!

Biography: Thakoon Pancihgui
Panichgul moved to the United States with his family when he was 11 years old, and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. His clothing has been worn by U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, who wore a floral dress by Panichgul
Panichgul attended High School at Bellevue West (Nebraska) and as a DECA member, attending the international DECA conference in 1993 in Orlando, Florida. After graduating from Boston University in 1997 with a business degree, he moved to New York. As a fashion writer, Panichgul developed an interest in designing, and he eventually pursued formal studies at Parsons School of Design from 2001 to 2003. In September 2004, Panichgul produced his first ready to wear collection and became recognized by fashion press, editors and stylists, and celebrities like Rachel BilsonDemi MooreMichelle Obama, and Sarah Jessica Parker. In 2007 he produced a fashion line for The Gap after being singled out by Anna Wintour of Vogue Magazine, as chronicled in the 2009 American documentary filmThe September Issue. His designs have been described as "timelessly feminine" and "as romantic and sensual as they are modern and innovative." He produced a well-received limited-edition clothing line at Target in early 2009.
Panichgul's collection has been described as "forward-looking, respectful of the past, and not at all vintage. In fact, his delicate deconstructions are entirely modern, owing more to the Antwerp Six than to Vionnet. Though his collection might be perfect for a modern Madame de Pompadour, it would suit an L.A. starlet just as well."
Thakoon will also be featured in the new fashion reality series, 'So You Wanna be a Designer,' put on by the Kenmore Live Studio in downtown Chicago.

The Skinny on 2012

Oh to be blessed with skinny legs.   If you love carbs and  adore sugar is there any hope for us?  Probably not unless we follow  a resolution to stay focused and realize that carbs and sugar are contributing  fat and cellulite  to our delicate figures.   I did some hunting for help on the dilemma. (The links are active)
As luck have it  on the  Today Show  Jan. 4th, they spoke about a book the The Secret to Skinny! The writers are twins and the advise made  good sense. Get lots of good sleep, because your body burns calories with less eating,  snack on protein and stay focused on vegetables!  Another great diet, that my good friend  Denise as tried is the Dukan Diet,  she had high marks, dropped weight and looks wonderful! Another hint that a massage therapist just gave to me is the Dry Brush technique Dry Brush for Cellulite.  Exercise Bike, walking and treadmills work for movement!  See videos for some below for exercises!  Off to the gym! Come on along we can do it!

Interior Charm

Happy Tuesday!  The cold weather has finally descended on the east coast.  What better time to cozy up after the holidays when the decorations are put away. Think  about adding a few interior elements without breaking the budget.. In my research    I found some spaces with  simple touches that  we can pick up at  local gift shops or  Home Goods.  Colored candles, Vases, Lamps, Books, wicker, wooden sculpture or ceramics and frames can add new dimension to your home spaces.  My end table in my bedroom needs a makeover. Gotta Run!  Arriverderci!
