The "Row" Resort 2012

 Mary Kate and Ashley surprised  us with a 1940's collection for resort 2012!   An irresistible take on the stripey shirt.  They teamed it with a matching knit dress and socks and black and white Gravati spectator shoes. For designers who made their mark with an understated sort of minimalism, they sure let it rip in their Resort collection for The Row. Yes, there was plenty of white cotton suiting (this time with a 1940's, Italian seaside slant), but the real charmers here were the evening numbers, special pieces that involve the kind of elaborate, time-consuming handwork, they explained, that their factories rarely do anymore.
