Villas in Tuscany

Wednesday in the New York area and I'm still dreaming of the Tuscan hills.  Thank you to Architectural Digest for the wonderful photos of Tuscan villas in the region of Toscano!   Wondering why I did not get off the bus and purchase a run down stone villa as Diane Lane in the "Tuscan Sun". Maybe next time with a better Euro exchange and a handsome italian builder. Buon Giorno Mia Ragazzi!

Tuscany's 400 year old villa refreshed and filled with modern comforts and breathtaking views. Owners  Mata and Oscar Fisch from New York

In 1994, Count Anotnio and countess Angelika Bolza purchased Castello Di Reschio, a 2,000 acre seate in Umbia with 50 homes being restored for the owners

This was 1,000 year old abbey near San Quirico D'Qrcia  became the Tuscan home of John and Betty Sargent after an extensive renovation by Paolo Rossi, Architect.

Architect James Cavagnari and interior designer Erin Quiros gave new life to their 300 year old summer home on the island of Salina

A Villa in the Chianti region, a couple took on the challenge of converting a deconsecrated church and adjacent apartment into a livable space. Architect Marco Vidotto and interior designer Susan Schuyler Smith, helped with the rebirth of the property

.
Architect Fulvio Di Rosa restored Borgo Di Vagli a 32 acre village in Tuscany . Di Rosa rebuilt Il Salto Di Gatto, on  the 11 stone dwellings in the hamlet, using stone and bricks from the towns rubble over a 10 year span.

This  ancient villa had a collapsed roof and no running water or electricity. Builder Nicholas Risley helped a couple turn the abandoned farmhouse into a stunning spot for large family gatherings
