Look Pretty in the New Year

Welcome To Thursday at Madison Muse!   Usually we chat about what to wear and the latest fashion.  If we plan on fitting into some of those pretty spring outfits, let's start our campaign to be pretty in the new year together!   First, the vision of how we are going to  look in  those slim  dresses and skirts, especially tights and skinning jeans. If  you don't like visions, than pretend you are doing a make over on yourself just for a change. If you need one photo for inspiration, find and pin somewhere you will see every day. Also pick your mantra or a quote and pin to the photo!

For one hour each day we can make a point of putting on tights, sneakers and a tee shirt to do activity, exercise, clean, run, walk, stretch, dance etc.  It must be one hour.   The next step is watching everything we put into our mouths. Really, take a second and just ask yourself is this good for my make over.   Next step  is to educate ourselves to how your body operates and help it to perform well like a brilliant smooth running engine.  Today we start with boosting your metabolism!  I am doing this
with you!  Would love for you to reach out and work with me on this.

No. 1. Don't skip breakfast. You're busy in the morning. It's tempting to save on those calories by skipping the first meal of the day. But if you don't "break the fast" after going without food all night, your body goes into starvation mode, slowing your metabolism. That means the next meal you eat will burn off more slowly.
No. 2. Start the day with protein. Eggs or egg whites are a good choice. Protein makes you feel full longer.
No. 3. Avoid high-fructose corn syrup. Not all sugars are alike. New research shows that fructose produces fewer of the hormones that tell the brain you're full.
No. 4. Eat beans. Beans contain "resistant starch," meaning the body has to work harder to get those calories. That means your metabolism revs up.
No. 5. Spice up your life. Studies show black pepper has a compound that prevents fat cells from forming, and jalapeƱo peppers may help burn fat around the belly.

You Can Do it!
