The crowd happily packed into bleacher seating at the Pierre Hotel Thursday night, fashion editors, stylists, and other industry insiders cheered on Alber Elbaz and his much-hyped H&M Lanvin collaboration as the looks made their way colorfully down the runway for the very first time. Guests were invited to shop the collection (which tops out at a very reasonable $400) to the sounds of a salsa band, and, most charming of all, the items were packaged in homemade-looking hanging bags and boxes, complete with Elbaz’s signature handwriting and hearts.
