Networking and Fashion Event

Happy Thursday!   I promised to  report on my night of Business and Fashion Networking sponsored by Brightrize!  My friend Lynne and I  managed to make it to the event last night , and realized much of the fashion hype was a lure for the business networking crowd.  The event which was held at  Club District 26 on 36th St., had an attendance of around 300 people . Because, the event was promoted as  a connection to fashion week there were many young model types, magazine journalist, photographers, bloggers, designers, mixed with 14 sponsors such as TD Bank and Studio V Health. Carol Roth was the guest  speaker promoting her new book "The Entrepreneur Equation".
As I walked around and starting chatting with the crowd, I realized, that this event had managed to gather an incredibly   fascinating, interesting  and creative group of amazing people!  A young model, Anjhula Singh Bais , told me she was there representing Vogue India.  Ingrid Kaempfert from Exotique Destinations was putting together  a "Sex in the City" travel group to Marrakesh. Jessica Chamberlin, CEO of Creative Human Capital, chatted about her ability to help entrepreneurs take their company to a higher level and realized  that we both loved Paul Smith, the designer, I just posted on my blog. I found Jessica to be  absolutely brilliant!  Eventually ran into a fellow  fashion blogger, Jessica Kelly  from livingembellished.blogspot.com.  All in all, the night turned out extraordinary, even if the fashion did not meet any of our expectations!
