The turban once associated with an old biddy in a house dress as taken on a sophistication linked with Hollywood glamour of the 1920 and 30's. Remember Garbo, Joan Crawford, Gloria Swanson. Back in the day the turban signified a woman who was educated and worldly. In the 70's the hippies brought the trend back to the scene. Today turbans historically remind us of Arab head dress. It is easy to connect them with the conflict in the middle east. In any case wearing a turban demands real confidence. You have to commit and believe you truly love the way it looks. In the past the scarf wrapped around my head was always apart of my outfit as just an accessory! Well ladies the turban is making a come back for whatever reason whether political or fashion related we see them on the runways and in the streets. Are you brave enough to wear the turban accessory for Spring?
