A Look At Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Spring Fashion Show 2011,London,England
(shown in Sept)

Once again our Radical Ms Westwood  goes all out for a cause!  Flyers were on the seats for her Reprieve cause. (a charity that works on behalf of prisoners at Guantanamo and death row). She designed a heart-shaped necklace for the clause and hung a giant heart on the runway. In her collection for spring, were delightful Prince of Wales checks, wonderful suiting, wide stripe pastels and table cloth check skirts.
Although Westwood has remained one of Britain’s most influential designers—influencing Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano and the like—she has had her struggles . With assistance from her manager, Carlo D'Amario, the introduction of her offshoot lines, and a perfume, by 1999 the designer was able to generate a positive cash flow. The iconoclastic redhead has always used her brand as a medium for political expression.
Westwood's fashion shows always promise to entertain!
