Louis Vuitton Pop Up Shops in Cannes

Its lovely Saturday even though the sky's are looking gray, little flowers buds, cherry blossoms and green leaves are popping up everywhere!   Speaking of Pop Up . Designer Shops are popping up as well! Louis Vuitton, Cavalli, Chanel and others are cashing in on the affluent, and high profile visitors to the Cannes International Film Festival.  The  Louis Vuitton  shop will be in operation for the period May to August 2011. The concept of temporary retail has been gaining popularity and acceptance around the world and the trend has been increasing year after year. The logic behind the concept is simple. If product can come and go , why can't the stores that display them do the same.  The increasing trend is now know as POP RETAIL. It is a very effective tool to pull in crowds quickly. Louis Vuitton Pop Up will open next door to its existing permanent shop. Will be in Paris at the End of May! Trying to make a side trip to Cannes!

HANOI, VIETNAM -MARCH 11 : A Vietnamese woman walks by the Louis Vuitton shop in the French quarter March 11, 2011 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Over the past year many luxury brands have surfaced in new shopping centers as wealthy Vietnamese spend their money for high priced cars and expensive items. Vietnam has experienced rapid growth since it made a shift to a socialist- oriented market economy, slowly integrating into the world's economy. In 2010 the GDP reached $104.6 billion. According to a forecast by the Pricewater house Coopers in 2008, Vietnam may be the fastest growing of emerging economies by 2025, with a potential growth rate of almost 10% per year.
